Music Ministry, Coro Unido

I continue to be EXCITED about all the opportunities coming up to be involved in various ways in hopefully challenging people to dedicate their lives to the kingdom.  My only concern is that I will be able to listen attentively to what the Lord is desirous of communicating through me.

Working on workshops for Music in Missions, Sports in Missions, and Church Planting for Corban.  Here's an excerpt of an email I received from Terry Vanderwerf, Mr. Music, on this year's Coro Unido Christmas extravaganza.

          Participants this year:  adult choir - 280,  children's choir - 65,  orchestra - 57, soloists - 4,
actors - 32, narrator, preacher, hand bell choir - 8, sign language interpreters.
In the orchestra this year there are 4 US musicians traveling to Puebla to participate.  In the past we
have had up to 15 musicians participate in the missions opportunity.

I'd encourage you to check out www.corounido.org.  Truly an amazing ministry outreach through music.  Site in English and Spanish.  You can watch a video clip of former concerts there, too.

Here's Tina yesterday, teaching the second hour of English classes.  Tina is doing a great job coordinating and directing our community center activities!  Check out her blog at: http://avoidanceoftheperfunctory.blogspot.com/

Quote of the Day: Albert Einstein once remarked, "The kind of thinking that will solve the world's problems will be of a different sort than the kind of thinking that created those problems in the first place." We must change our way of thinking. We must reset our default way of thinking about what is good (values), what is power (authority), and what is our path (direction) if we want to lead in an upside-down kingdom.

Whatever you may think of politics, or of the current political polarization  of red states and blue states, this is a pretty funny video clip of Romney roasting the president.
