Evidence of God's Care

Any ideas what this is?

I certainly understand if you have no idea. It is a (broken) used motor mount. Our van has two motor mounts and one transmission mount. This is actually the transmission mount.

So why am I posting it? Well, last night our faithful mechanic Mardonio couldn't get done talking about it. He said he'd never seen anything like it...a mount totally fractured. All three of them were in bad shape.

A year and a half ago, on Christmas day, December 25, we had a near fatal accident, when our van, with 9 people inside of it, skidded on dry concrete and ended doing a 360 degree circle, finally coming to a stop amid the pungent smell of burnt rubber, going the same direction, with apparently no damage, at least what we could see. Well, there was quite a bit of damage. To the motor mounts. Which we finally got replaced a year and a half later. A tribute to God's protection.

did you have any "symptoms?" the bad roads here might be causing motor mount failures for others and we might not know it...i've hit enough unmarked topes over the years and lots of bad holes and such. makes me wonder about the rattling sound I always hear when the windows are down and we're on a bumpy road.
