Last night Samuel and I visited several families that I got to know during the first five days of our breakfast campaign. Saul and his wife Araceli and their three girls, also Rodulfo and wife Augustina (who is 4 months pregnant). Our "good works" food campaign gained us access into some new homes. We had a great time talking. Saul gave us a CD for us photos, to be used in this Sunday's powerpoint presentation.
We then stopped by Marta's house, a lady who I met while slip-sliding my way up a street that was still covered with muck. I promised her some paint. Last night we took 8 5-gallon buckets of paint to her, but she was unable to come outside and greet us, due to an accident with her foot. We brought the paint back home. If I'm going to give a bunch of paint to someone, at least I want to meet them, and invite them to our meeting on Sunday.
Today, Jim and I braved the traffic to travel downtown to two Christian bookstores. It's an addiction for both Jim and me--buying books. Jim had money to burn--Canadian money, which is now almost on par with the U.S. dollar; monies that have been sent to help with the relief effort. Because our food distribution is pretty much over, we decided to distribute the best sort of spiritual food--Bibles. He bought 84 NIV Bibles, some paperback, some hardcover.
English class continues. Today we continued to get ready for our closing program, two weeks from tomorrow. Class attendance has gone down a bit, not sure why. This closing program will also include participation from Jim's keyboard class on Monday and David's guitar class on Tuesday. Pray that many parents attend.
Well, that's about all for now. For those working on their Spanish, I'll include a drama that we plan to do on Sunday. It's called "Hunger."

Mímica con la excepción de un versículo leído en voz alta
1. el joven con hambre
2. el joven del deporte
3. el joven de la droga
4. el joven del dinero
5. el joven de la brujería
6. el joven del alcohol
7. el joven de la Biblia
Un joven con hambre anda por el escenario frotando su estómago, haciendo caras que
indican claramente que tiene hambre (aprox.1/2 min.).
Entra el joven del deporte, jugando básquetbol o cualquier otro deporte, y llaman la atención del joven con hambre, y este olvida por un ratito su hambre por jugar un poco de básquet y se ve más animado. Después el joven deportista se va y el joven vuelve a tener hambre, mucha hambre y camina como 1/2 min.
Así se repite con el joven (o la joven) de la droga, del dinero, de la brujería (con su bola de cristal), del alcohol. **Cada vez el joven con hambre se distrae un ratito, pensando que eso calmará su hambre, después de que se va su nuevo amigo, el hambre regresa con fuerza.
Entra el joven con una Biblia, y muestra la Biblia al otro joven, indicando sin palabras que la Biblia puede satisfacer su hambre, su gran necesidad. El joven con hambre rechaza la Biblia, después de haber sido engañado por todas las cosas del mundo.
Por fin el joven con hambre escucha. El esketch termina con el joven con la Biblia leyendo Juan 6:35 en voz alta. Los dos oran juntos.
**Cada uno de estas pretende demostrarle al hambriento que esa es la solución a su
problema
