Claudia's cancer has not metastasized

Last night Alberto called and asked us to come over and see Claudia. He had good news. Apparently tests done after Claudia's operation show that the cancer has not metastasized into other tissue, which is a HUGE answer to prayer.

After wrestling with electrical problems with the van...it finally left Mayra set about a mile from the house on Tuesday afternoon. Jim Cottrill came and jumped it...and we had to jump it twice again to get back to the house. Tuesday night a neighbor charged the battery all night, and on Wednesday I was able to drive it to the mechanic without a problem. Yes, the alternator was shot. Finally yeserday afternoon at around 4:30 I was able to pick it up. Total cost, $60.

Quote of the Day:
The settled happiness and security which we all desire, God withholds from us by the very nature of the world: but joy, pleasure, and merriment He has scattered broadcast. We are never safe, but we have plenty of fun, and some ecsasy. It is not hard to see why. The security we crave would teach us to rest our hearts in this world and oppose and obstacle to our return to God. C. S. Lewis
