Claudia update, PA pics

Thanks to those of you who are praying for Claudia. According to her husband Alberto she is doing well emotionally, and recovering physically from the operation last Thursday. The church is helping the family with meals and with taking the girls, Noemi and Carla, to and from school. Thanks for your prayers for this family!

My sister, Beth and her husband Don had a baby in April...Cecilia Emma Mary Rose (that's not right, but close?) Bullard is all of 4 months old. See her cute little face below. My Starbucks sister has been a HUGE support to us as a family, and I'm not just talking about her being my faithful supplier of Starbucks bean. Thanks Beth and Don for everything.

The next two photos are my mother and father, enjoying a hand-made hammock that we sent up for them. I'm sure dad is posing for the picture, because getting him still and immobile is virtually impossible. Ahh...you make me jealous! These pictures will undoubtedly make them more careful on the pictures they send me in the future.

Quote of the Day:
Hospitality, when you get right down to it, is unnatural. It is difficult to place others first, because our inclination is to take care of ourselves first. Hospitality takes courage. It takes a willingness to risk... You see, most of us know what true hospitality feels like. It means being received openly, warmly, freely, without any need to prove ourselves. Hospitality makes us feel worthy, because our host assumes us worthy. Stephen Rhodes as quoted in Cross-Cultural Servanthood, by Duane Elmer.
