Revolution, take 2

This morning the interns and I did some filming of a soon-to-be released Christian gangsta video, starring Abby, Brooke, Alex, Crystal, Emily and Jonatan. Oh, it's going to be a riot when we can get it edited and published. The video was taken in an around the Indian ruins here in Ixtapaluca, and a deserted, graffitti-decorated house at the border of that property.

ESL classes have continued...tomorrow is our last day at both sites. Attendance was down a bit today in the afternoon because of an early rain shower.

The Downs visited us yesterday...had a great time with them, and they were able to re-visit with the interns and also visit the Cottrills new house (the leaky one!).

Tomorrow the group does their "Redeemer" drama for the closing program of a kid's club at the little Baptist church were they are teaching ESL at noon. On Saturday, for our closing activity we plan to go up to Paso de Cortez, which I understand is spectacular with all the snow/rain that has fallen recently.

Mom and Dad Fry, my parents, come down this next Tuesday! We can't wait! We plan to escape for a few days and relax.

Quote of the Day:
God's omnipotent exhuberance to do us good is one of the most freeing discoveries a human can make. Oh, that we might believe it and savor it and bring it to mind again and again until it is our very nature to feel the truth that "the godly are designed for unknown and inconceivable happiness." Unremitting confidence in this truth would surely transform our attitudes and keep us steady in the face of great adversity. John Piper, Taste and See, p. 17
