Pic from two Sundays ago

Dan Coops posted this pic on Facebook...from two weeks ago when he was here with the Prusias and Kelly. We met outdoors for the last two weeks in a white, pole tent structure. This picture must have been during rehearsal, before the service really started, I'm guessing.

Today is our last devotional time together with the interns. We'll be doing some debrief; reflection on a whole summer of activities, worship and community. Always a great time. Tomorrow we travel up to the road that goes between the volcanos. Should be awesome.

Mar told me that her niece, Jenny, trusted Christ yesterday! Seems like someone from Mar's or Alex's family trusts Jesus every summer. Jenny shared a bed with Emily for several weeks.

Quote of the Day:
The sunbeams of blessing in our lives are bright in and of themselves. They also give light to the ground where we walk. But there is a higher purpose for these blessings. God means for us to do more than stand outside them and admire them for what they are. Even more, he means for us to walk into them and see the sun from which they come. If the beams are beautiful, the sun is even more beautiful. God’s aim is not that we merely admire his gifts, but, even more, his glory. John Piper, Don’t Waste Your Life, p. 58
