Christmas cheer is flowing here in southeastern Mexico City. In typical Mexican style we've already celebrated several Christmas parties, with more to come. Below are a couple of pictures of last night's school program, and preparations that Mayra and I made tonight to prepare for an evangelistic prayer breakfast for women that begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. There are 50 chairs...and we hope to fill them all.
I didn't mention much about December 12, the celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe, but both our co-worker Jim did on his blog, and Daniel mentioned it on his blog, so you can click the link and check it out. Probably the saddest day for a Christian to be in Mexico.
I won't go into details here, but a family in the church right now has a lot of spiritual and financial needs. Part of the family, the mother and one son, are Christians, probably the first and only Christians in their entire extended family. Please pray especially right now for the other son and the father, that God would touch their hearts and bring them to Himself. The church has been really, really united over the past half-year, even in the face of many different tests and trials. We praise God for that! Everyone has donated clothing and other items for sale to support this family in need, as well as using our gas grill to make hamburgers and hot dogs for sale in the evenings. Over the last two days, almost $300 has been raised. Check out Daniel's blog here for pics and more info.

While that's a very cute picture of Cathy, let's not miss Davey-boy's classic face in the background!
