Participating via Skype in Leroy Chapel's missions conference

Tomorrow I'll be attending church in Ohio. Sort of. Pastor-friend Jeff Pierce asked me to share, live, with their congregation tomorrow morning in both Sunday services. Now, what time did he say exactly? What time zone is OH in? Ha!

So I'll be attentive to Leroy's service, listening in, then will be projected, I'm assuming, on the church's screen, having a heart-to-heart with...well, with my webcam. Not sure if I'll actually be able to see the congregation or not. We'll see!

The theme of the conference is "To Be a Blessing."

Leroy Chapel has sent two teams to help us out here in Mexico City...one in 1998 and one in 2005. Actually, our very first church service for Sendero de Vida happened with Jeff Pierce brought a team in 2005. July 17, 2005. Leroy is also sending a 4-week intern to be with us this summer...Stephanie Green. We're looking forward to getting to know her more this summer.

Here's some details about the conference...

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing” (Gen 12:2 ESV)

These three weeks should bring us closer to answering the question: “What is God’s plan for my life as a Christian? The short answer: “to be a blessing.” We have been the recipients of the blessing of God SO THAT we might be a blessing. Just as a simple pipe from a water source brings refreshing water to thirsty people, so to Christians are to be a conduit of blessing to people everywhere in need of the grace of God. This brings God great glory!
