Christmas at CAM basketball project

Yesterday I met Jazmin, a vivacious young lady with a degree in Physical Education. Her mother is a Christian, and her brother is a pastor of a small work near Jesus Maria, but Jazmin told me yesterday that she's just "not into church much." Well, of course, that's really not the point. We are trusting that she gets into Jesus soon.

Jazmin has already taught basketball classes in our target neighborhood. We talked about working together...she organizing and teaching classes and us helping with uniforms and basketballs, and she was all for it. I told Samuel later that talking with Jazmin and giving her some help is like throwing a match on a gasoline-soaked campfire. Things are going to take off quickly.

I mentioned to her that we often host college students from the U.S. and Canada. "Awesome!", she said.

We desire to start, along with Jazmin, a basketball outreach the beginning of February, 2010.

If you want to help us with that, check out www.christmasatcam.org.

If you want to come down and play some hoops, or street hockey or soccer...but a comment at the end of this post.
