We set a new record for the van during Wolc's time here...21 young people in the van. We went to the mall one night and decided that, well, we should just all pile in. As Crystal Langer observes, there's always room in one more in a car. Always!
The team has been filling up megabites of virtual memory on Facebook. Here are a couple more pics...of a group shot after a time at Xochimilco, and a devotional time at some Indian ruins near where we live. I'm sure I'll be posting more pics in the near future.
In other news, previously cited Crystal Langer may be coming back for a while, serving here in Mexico until her visa is cleared for Spain. If it works out, that will be awesome. The church here has a lot of young girls to minister to.
Quote of the Day:
It is right to risk for the cause of Crist. It is right to engage the enemy and say, "May the Lord do what seems good to him." It is right to serve the people of God and say, "If I perish, I perish!" It is right to stand before the fiery furnace of affliction and refuse to bow down tothe gods of the world. This is the road that leads to fullness and joy and pleasures forevermore. At the end of every other road--secure and risk-free--we will put our face in our hands and say, "I've wasted it!"
Don't Waste Your Life, John Piper, p. 98
