Birthday Party and Spain Update

Last night after prayer meeting, a number of us from the church went over to Alejandro andMar's house and celebrated his 36th??? birthday. We sang our traditional "Feliz Navidad" adapted to say "Feliz Cumpleanos" song, then the church version of Las Mananitas, or the Mexican birthday song. Then of course we ate the obligatory cake and gelatine.

Alejandro was showing me video and pictures earlier today that he took during his trip to La Paz, Baja California, including a 16 hour ferry ride from Mazatlan to the Baja pennisula. I'm going to try to post some of that soon.

Samuel and I purchased some wood and paints to do a sample painting of what we hope to reproduce during our Spain trip.

Brad and Lindsey (and God primarily) managed to reduce penalties on the former plane tickets and buy other tickets at considerably reduced prices. I'm still not sure how they all did that. Samuel and Luis are now flying through London to Madrid instead of through the U.S. (which have crazy visa restrictions in place that greatly limits transit, at least from countries like Mexico). Thanks for your prayers.

Got a note from Jimmy Vaughn of Your Turn Ministries that he might be able to help us out support-wise with a scholarship for our Spain trip. Thanks Jimmy! Check out his ministry at http://www.yourturnministries.org/.
