First Community Clean-up Project Today

This morning about 25 of us from the church put on our "Do the same with your life" t-shirts, grabbed garbage bags and put on laytex gloved. Why, you ask? To pick up trash along the main avenues of our neighborhood here. It was quite gratifying to walk the streets that we cleaned and not see any garbage. A couple of reporters from a local t.v. station actually filmed the activity, which gave the church some very good positive exposure. Martin, who did the interview for t.v., explained that as we want our neighborhood clean, God wants our hearts clean before him, and how our faith needs to go beyond Sunday morning church activities, and impact our world in every way.

Our next clean-up days will be June 16 and July 14.
