Mother's Day Event a Success

Last night the men and young people of the church served the meal and took care of the kids, while the mothers from the church and from the neighborhood enjoyed a teaching time, meal and songs. We had prepared for between 40-50 women--49 attended last night's event. By far the majority of the mothers in attendance were not church attenders. It was a truly a wonderful time of outreach to our neighborhood. There were many faces I had not seen before, as well as 4 women who attend my English class, and many neighbors of women in the church. Two people made professions of faith afterwards with Mayra.
