Sunday, January 26th was a crazy day. David called at 8 a.m. saying that the VW bug that we had just purchased for him for mobilization purposes had been robbed overnight, right in front of the church. I dropped him off at the police station, and on the way back to the house got stopped by a policeman, who gave me a hard time about my car papers. I tried to be patient, and he finally let me go. I thought it would probably not be a good idea to bribe a policeman an hour before I preached! I never do bribe cops, but it's a very common practice here, and it's exactly what he wanted from me.
I got home and 10 minutes later the Cheshier family arrived. Paul and Hope and their 4 kids are great. Hannah was along too, Paul's neice, who helps tutor their kids with home schooling, as well as Hannah's mother. Ashley and Hannah are with Cathy in this picture.
Paul and I decided that we would have entirely too much fun together if we worked together in ministry. It was a fun day, after all. May God bless the Cheshiers!
