Jour de l'Action de grâce

We're excited to celebrate Canada Thanksgiving Day (Jour de l'Action de grâce) with the Cottrills today...well, at least most of us. Mayra is helping her mother with some health needs today. Sounds like lots of good turkey in store for today! Shari said they finally found a good ol' turkey just this past Saturday. Check out the Cottrills blog HERE.

Cathy is studying French in school. I just cut and paste other languages off the Internet to appear smart.

The Beenenga (pronounced BEN-en gay) family has visited us several times here in Ixtapaluca, always great to have them back. Daughter Jane has begun an extended internship time with YWAM. Check out her blog and blogpost (she's in the center of the picture choking someone). Praying for a great experience for her.

Our study in apologetics started off well yesterday. Speak up! I encouraged the young men. Much of what you here from the media and your friends, are lies. Absolutes don't exist, they say. Try treating them as if absolutes didn't exist, and you'll quickly discover that they do indeed believe in them!

Oh, and I re-tweeted this one...just too good to pass up: BREAKING: Washington Redskins drop 'Washington' from their name because it's embarrasing.

Quote of the Day: As Blaise Pascal wrote long ago, "it is good to be tired and wearied by the vain search after the true good, that we may stretch out our arms to the Redeemer."
