Mexican Pastor Friends

Several of us from Ixtapaluca traveled to northern Mexico City this past Saturday and attended an event entitled "You Can Tell It!" by Evantell. Armando and Guillermo, two bi-lingual guys and both students at DTS, gave the seminar.

I had the privilege of sitting next to the two gentleman below, Fernando and Martín. We ministered with Fernando, the older gentleman, in Iztapalapa from 1997-2003, and basically followed Martín and his wife Laura to Ixtapaluca, where Martín became the pastor of the first church here in 2009. What a joy to work with and alongside men like this!

Quote of the Day: Synergy means "with energy," added or multiplied energy. Have you ever done something with another person and were amazed at what you accomplished? You could never have accomplished it by yourself-even with twice the time. This is synergy. Remember hearing a band or orchestra warming up before the concert? Each member is independently playing notes or chords, creating noise. But when the conductor raises the baton, together they create glorious music. This is synergy. Synergy is further illustrated by the following, which I got out of a farm journal: • one horse can pull 6,000 to 7,000 pounds • two horses can pull about 18,000 pounds • two horses trained to pull together can pull 25,000 pounds
