Policy Governance at the Puebla Bible Seminary board meeting

This past Friday evening and Saturday the Puebla Bible Seminary board met, of which I am privileged to have a part. We have begun to tackle in recent meetings the whole idea of policy governance, seeking to implement it in the seminary. It's not an easy concept to immediately grasp, although once understood will, Roger, the Seminary director believes, be a huge step forward in establishing ends and limits for both the board and the director. He's trying to convince us of this, and I think we're generally convinced, it's just a pretty big learning curve.

Jose Antonio Munoz, on the first picture below, helped keep me sane at the meeting, then preached for the church here Sunday morning, and did a bang-up job.

Quote of the Day: Man is more himself, man is more manlike, when joy is the fundamental thing in him, and grief the superficial. Melancholy should be an innocent interlude, a tender and fugitive frame of mind; praise should be a permanent pulsation of the soul. Pessimism is at best a half-holiday, joy is the uproarious labour by with all things live. G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
