Jingle Bell Rock, malls and Michigan

Yesterday we had a brain surge...seeing as "surge" is so in vogue right now. Almost as popular as lipstick. Anyway...God has been good in giving us contacts here with people who can make things happen. One of them in Roberto, who works for a local tv station and newspaper.

So...Samuel and I were brainstorming about a host of different topics, and we thought that, you know, it would be awesome if the group of 24, including a whole band, from Michigan could perform in a nearby mall. On a weekend there are thousands of people walking around there... So we called Roberto and it looks like it just might happen. We'll be meeting with him and mall officials sometime soon. You can pray for that. Here's some pics of the mall, complete with a huge Walmart, Sams Club, and a bunch of smaller stores.

There's a pretty neat area where the band could set up...actually there's an ice rink, of all things, there now.

Quote of the Day:
“Christian Love, either towards God or towards man, is an affair of the will. If we are trying to do His will we are obeying the commandment “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God.” He will give us feelings of love if He pleases. We cannot create them for ourselves, and we must not demand them as a right. But the great thing to remember is that, though our feelings come and go, His love for us does not. It is not wearied by our sins, or our indifference, and, therefore, it is quite relentless in its determination that we shall be cured of those sins, at whatever cost to us, at whatever cost to Him.” C.S. Lewis
