Popocatepetl, the Smoking Mountain

Today we found a new spot, a spot that will undoubtedly be visited again and again. It's only about an hour and a half from our house...a road that winds up and up between the two nearest volcanos, one of them quite active. The smoke you see in these pictures should prove that!

We were to meet Pete Gross and his family at a trout fishing spot...and we both went, but arrived at two different spots within a mile or so from each other, and only saw each other as we were leaving! Oh well! David Gomez, our co-worker, Alberto our adopted son, Daniel and I went, and had a great time. Daniel caught 4 trout, and could have caught another 50, but you have to pay for them, and they're not cheap! The view of Popocatepetl, the smoking mountain, was absolutely incredible. The sky is blue there, not the grey that we know many days! We will definitely go back, next time with the whole family.

Nice pictures, I wonder if you would give me permission to use them and your link in an article I posted about Popocatepetl at http://www.nowpublic.com/weather/popocatepetl-volcanos-spectacular-show-cloud-ash-and-steam-eight-km-high

I will be looking forward to your answer.

God bless you
