Joe came down from March 10-18 with the team from Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, and participated with us that week doing English classes, kids clubs, open-air evangelism and, of course, eating lots of tacos. The Lord used Joe to reach Mauricio, who trusted Christ that week, and has integrated into the church here. It's a joy to see how Mauricio is growing.
Joe is the guy on the right in this picture, next to our adopted son Alberto.
Now Joe is in the process of taking steps to potentially dedicate his life to missions. I remember a number of conversations we had about the huge need for evangelism and discipleship here, and how there are so many neighborhoods, so many streets, without a gospel witness. My comment to him was something along the lines of..."if you would come, and live here, and faithfully witness for the Lord, you'd see a Bible study or church start. It would happen!¨
Pray for Joe as he begins to take steps of faith!
