Second Medical Brigade

Today started early, with many folks from the church out at 7:30 a.m., preparing for a full day of multiple activities, all with the purpose of sharing God's love to our community. Free.

This was our second day of activity, the first being April 9. All sorts of activities were taking place simultaneously. Here are some stats.

Alyssa and Tina works for several hours on the mural, and their efforts are beginning to show. It's going to be an awesome mural.

A new friend, Roberto Popoca, helped with giving free rabies vaccinations, with a total of 53 animals (some of them quite big) receiving shots.

The doctor and dentist each received about 20 patients each. A special thanks to our Abby, who helped the dentist all day.

Our own Graciela and Carmen cut hair, along with a couple who visited us from nearby Mexico City.

All in all...a great day.

The Corban University team was a great help, too, and continues to help in the ministry here. Corban professor and friend Paul Johnson leads the team. From Wednesday through Friday the team was involved in puppet, sports and open-air ministry in a nearby neighborhood, supporting Sendero 1 and Martin and Laura in their outreach.

I'm struggling a bit with a stomach bug, and am counting on Mr. Pepto tonight, my pink friend.
